Oh, yes, we LOVE Abby. I have to share this story with you - occasionally Paul has to go on a business trip for a couple of days. Of course, Abby gets upset as soon as she sees suitcases coming out. The last few trips we have let her ride to the airport with us so she can see that Paul is leaving--then she doesn't sit by the door all night waiting for him to come
home. I also take her with me when I pick him up. Anyway, last trip I went to pick Paul up at the airport - Abby was in the back seat looking out the
window, scanning the crowd for you-know-who. Paul wasn't out of the building yet and because of heightened security, we were not allowed to pull
over and wait - so I had to make another circuit around the airport. There was Abby, head out the window, and then I pulled AWAY from the terminal
WITHOUT Paul - Abby pulled her head in and looked at me with such a look of disbelief that was almost human! I could read it in her expression - "No, no, you can't leave without him!!!" I had to laugh out loud. When Abby spots Paul, she gets so excited that she whines and "dances in place" until
he gets to the car - everyone always looks at her and laughs. Paul loves it (he should get such a greeting from ME!) and I love that it makes everyone
around us smile.
